European PDOs workshop : 29-30th april 2024
The EuAWE and University of Tokaj organized the European PDOs workshop in Tokaj on the 29th and 30th of april. The whole program is available here after. The workshop was a great success.
We were pleased to exchange views with our Hungarian colleagues on the issue of PDOs and the mention of origin in the alcohol sector. This workshop follows on from the one held in Saragoza (Spain) in March 2023. It is part of a long-term project on appellations and their necessary evolution.
On behalf of the EuAWE Board, I would like to thank all the participants for the quality of their presentations. My special thanks go to the local organizers, Daniel Homolya and Peter Gal, who gave us an exceptional welcome (and the word is not overused) and enabled us to discover a wine region that is remarkable in every way. Daniel was a wonderful guide. I'd also like to thank Peter Molnar for his highly instructive talk on the history of the region and his welcome to the vineyard he manages, the beautiful Domaine Patricius.
